Kavinder inaugurates work of blacktopping of roads in Ward 68, Greater Kailash

JAMMU, Jun 23: Former Deputy Chief Minister & Senior Leader BJP, Kavinder Gupta visited almost 17 sites for the ongoing development projects being executed in the Gandhi Nagar Constituency. The visited areas where work is under process were Channi, Sanjay Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Digiana, G, Bhore Camp and Greater Kailash and took the stock of work. He was accompanied by Chairman Health & Sanitation Committee JMC, Baldev Billawria, Cuncillor Anil Kumar, Darshan Abrol, Capt. Jigmeet Singh(Retd.), Rohit Verma among other prominent persons of the locality, local BJP Leaders and social workers. He inaugurated black topping work of Lanes of Greater Kailash being executed by PWD.
While addressing the gathering present on the occasion Gupta said that as promised the long pending demand of the residents have been met.Gupta informed public that we have got approval and sanction of funds to the tune of 70 crores particularly for Gandhi Nagar Constituency, and all the approved works shall be executed before the implementation of Model Code of Conduct in the state. He said that "real development has been witnessed during last four years in the state and Gandhi Nagar Constituency in particular". "sabka saath -sabka vikas-sabka vishwas"is the slogan of BJP, and it is extending every possible help to make it a success. However, every one of us has to contribute as it becomes our collective responsibility to keep our surroundings neat and clean, the Gupta said. He stressed upon the concerned authorities to expedite the progress on these vital works to ensure their timely completion. Gupta stressed for an effective mechanism for regular monitoring and follow up of all ongoing development works by Deputy Commissioner concerned. He also exhorted upon them to hold periodic review meetings with all the stake holders to meet the purpose behind launch of these projects envisaging improvement in living standards of people. Also, Gupta stressed for the Deputy Commissioner to identify any financial or technical barrier causing delay in development works so that could be rectified at the appropriate time for larger interest of the society. Gupta lauded the seriousness of the Governor for the execution of various projects which were delayed due to administrative approvals worth more than 70 crores and thanked him for approving many projects for Gandhi Nagar Legislative Constituency. He said many projects are still pending for the administrative approvals which he shall be taking up with Hon'ble Governor for the necessary approvals. Locals also appreciated the efforts of the Kavinder Gupta and expressed their gratitude for taking up their pending demands time to time, on priority and also brought some other issues to his notice for early disposal.
