Police recovers 3 stolen bikes, one arrested

JAMMU Jun 24:District Police Jammu achieved a major success in its initiatve against vehicle lifters when a team of PS Nowabad recovered 03 Motorcycles stolen from different places and arrested one vehicle lifter.
On 14.06.2019, a complaint had been received at P/S nowabad regarding the theft of a Motor cycle bearing Registation No. JK02AP-7428 from Chand Nagar area, based on which, a case FIR No. 92/2019 U/S 379/RPC was registered at P/s Nowabad.
A team led by Inspr. Bimal Indu, SHO P/S Nowbad & SI Safdar Hussain Sshah immediately swung into action and started rounding up suspects and examining evidence. Based on leads developed during investigation, the team arrested 01 person namely Maqsood Chowdhary S/O Abdul Khaliq R/O Gursai Tehsil Mendhar District Poonch A/P Nagrota By- Pass. On his disclosure, the stolen Motor Cycle, alongwith 02 other bikes, recovered from his possession (1. Motorcycle Pulsar Red Colour Engine No. DHGBS208379 and Chasis No. HD2DHDHZZSCL19910; 2. Motor Cycle Passon Pro Engine No. DHIOEC9GJ95042 and Chasis No. HBLHAIOEN9GJ1056). Further investigation into the matter is going on.
