Kavinder conducts extensive tour of Ward 68, starts developmental works

JAMMU, Jun 25: Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Gandhi Nagar today visited Greater Kailash Area in ward 68 to access and start the developmental works being executed in the area.
The works on the interior lanes of Greater Kailash are in progress and maximum lanes shall be upgraded before the rains, Gupta said. While addressing a well attended gathering organised by Anil Kumar Councillor, Gupta said Jammu and Kashmir is the crown of the country and our beloved Prime Minister is serious in the overall development of the state and uplift every section of the society in the state. Due to militancy we have suffered a lot and our state is far behind as compared to other states in terms of the development. Our state needed a special attention for which Prime Minister Modi had given a special package to cope up with the hardships our state suffered due to militancy.
A meeting was also organised to discuss the modalities for the membership drive that will be organised from July 6 to August 11. The drive will be conducted all over the country to expand the base of the party. The J&K BJP had already appointed district-level conveners and co-conveners for a month-long drive. "We have to strengthen the BJP in all the areas of state in general in Gandhi Nagar Constituency in particular," Gupta said in the meeting. Gupta said, "We will organise the drive from July 6 to August 11 all over the constituency to expand the base of the party."
The former Deputy Chief Minister was flanked by Baldev Billowria, Vinay Gupta, Harbans Choudhary, Darshan Grover, Nishu Naryana, Rakesh Charak (Raka), Rohit Verma.
