Mayor visits dumping site at Kot Bhalwal

JAMMU, JUNE 25: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Talat Mehmood Chief Transport Officer & other officers of various sections of JMC visited Municipal Dumping site at Kala Gham near Kot Bhalwal Jammu & took stock of the functioning of dumping site at the said place. A large number of inhabitants of surrounding villages gathered there & met with the Mayor & putforth their grievances regarding functioning of dumping site in a un proper manner as polythene, Garbage etc remained scattered here & there & creates foul smell in this peak summer season. Mayor listened to the grievances of the residents carefully & directed the officers of JMC to raise boundary wall & cover the dumping site immediately, engage more SKC's on permanent basis at the mentioned spot & get the whole area leading to dumping site properly lime sprayed on routine basis. He also appealed to the residents to cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in making Jammu city neat, clean & green and assured them that Jammu Municipal Corporation is doing its sincere efforts for segregation of households & commercial waste at their own level and making said dumping site in a scientific manner.
