DC Reasi felicitates Olympic qualifier athlete

REASI, JULY 16: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib today felicitated archer Rakesh Kumar at her office chambers here today.
Rakesh is a para athlete and has represented India at a number of national as well as international archery championships. Most recently, Rakesh participated in Para Archery World Championship and Para Olympic Games Secondary Quota Tournament, from June 3 to 9, where he stood 4th and qualified for Para Olympics 2020.
Congratulating the athlete, the DC said, "Rakesh is a role model for the youth of the district as well as the nation." She also pledged appropriate support to the archer on behalf of District Administration in future also.
Rakesh also briefed the DC about sports facility at SMVD Sports Stadium Katra.
