PTTI Vijaypur celebrates Independence Day

Jammu, Aug 16: "73th Independence Day" was celebrated at PTTI Vija-ypur with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Ashok Kumar Sharma, SSP (Principal) PTTI Vijaypur presided over the function and hoisted the National Flag on the occasion in presence of Sh. Ram Singh Jamwal, Dy.SP (R&D), Shri Karanjeet Singh, Dy.SP (Security/PIO), Head-master GMS Thalori Shri Des Raj, Headmaster GMS Bhudhwal Shri Ajeet Lal, Headmistress GMS Channi Manhasan Smt. Meena Chib, teachers of Govt. Middle school Thalori, Channi Man-hasan and Budhwal alongwith staff and students, officers of Para-military forces, prominent citizens, locals of adjoining villages and Retd. Police personnel also participated in the Inde-pendence Day function.
During the function, contingents of Police personnel held March Past. A colourful cultural programme was also organised in which children of various Government Sch-ools, staff of PTTI Vijaypur presented various solo/group Patriotic/ Folk/ National songs which enthralled the audience.
Moreover, in view of Raksha Bandhan, a special ceremony of Rakhi Tying was also organized in which girl students of various Schools tied Rakhies to the Jawans of Paramilitary forces present during the function. Officers/Jawans appreciated the efforts of PTTI Vijaypur for organizing the event. On this occasion, Principal PTTI Vijaypur also decorated HC Koushal Kumar with new rank who has been recently promoted as Assistant Sub Inspectors. In the end, Prize distribution function among the participants and other disciplines of the parade and staff members was also held.
Principal in his address highlighted the importance of Independence Day and congratulated to all staff and local people of the area for their participation to make the function colourful and successful. The function was concluded with National Anthem.
Among others Inspr. Hemanshu Sunil Mah-ajan, Inspr. Anil Sagar, Inspr. Jatinder Singh, Inspr. Sunil Kumar, Inspr. Neeraj Kumar, Inspr. Charanjeet Singh (RI), Inspr. Rattan Singh, Inspr. Manoj Kumar Inspr. Bhopinder Singh, Inspr. Sanjay Raina were also present on the occasion.
