Gurukul students present Sanskrit play

KATRA, OCT 12: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul, Charan Paduka, Katra organised a cultural programme for participants of the INSPIRE programme at the Spiritual Growth Centre here last evening.
The students of the Gurukul staged an impressive Sanskrit play, "Madhyama Vyay Yog", and a Nukkad Natak on 'Swachhata', which were highly appreciated by the audience. The children of Balniketan also gave cultural performance which was based on patriotism and national integration.
Among those who witnessed the cultural programme included Prof. R. K. Sinha, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU; Mr. Tapan Misra, Senior Advisor, ISRO; Dr. A. S. Ahluwalia, Professor, Department of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh, who is also Chairman of the INSPIRE Fellowship Review Meeting; Prof. Vishwamurti Shastri, Member Governing Council for Gurukul; Dr. Sunil K. Wanchoo, Associate Professor, SMVDU; Dr. Arvind Karwani, Dy. CEO of the Shrine Board and Administrator of Gurukul; Dr. Shailla Cannie, Principal, SMVD College of Nursing, Kakryal; scientists and research scholars.
Meanwhile, a number of research scholars presented their research work for evaluation during the past two days of INSPIRE programme.
