Jammu, Oct 12: Former Deputy Chief Minister and Sr. BJP Leader, Kavinder Gupta, today said that massive developmental and beautification works are being undertaken in Gandhi Nagar constituency for the benefit of people. Gupta said this while addressing the gathering after inaugurating blacktopping works in ward 43, Nanak Nagar area in Gandhi Nagar Constituency along with Surjeet (Pappu) Choudhary. Also the blacktopping was started at Langer, ward 68 along with MLC Vikram Randhawa, Baldev Billawria and Anil Kumar Councilor Ward-68. Both the works have to be executed by the Public works department.
Kavinder said that the long pending demand of the people of the respective area has been fulfilled. He said that a massive program for beautification and development of Gandhi Nagar Constituency has also been launched under which various parks and gardens are being revitalized in the area for the people, besides several other projects are also being executed which are in various stages of development. Prominent Citizens of the respective wards, who accompanied Gupta, were Vinay Gupta, Ankush Gupta, Harbans Choudhary, Jyoti Sharma, Capt. (Retd) Jagmeet Singh, Hussain Ali Wafa, Darshan Abrol, Gopal Sharma, P.D. Sharma, Dr. Raj Kumar, Anil Gupta and other political and social workers.
Gupta further added that erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State would witness a complete overhaul with respect to developmental works and other basic infrastructure, and Gandhi Nagar shall be the first model constituency of J&K. It has been one of the most heartening aspects of Modi's leadership that he has brought into mainstream focus several issues pertaining to the common man's quality of life, which had been neglected as 'pedestrian concerns'. Basic matters like cleanliness, sanitation, fitness, access to drinking water, electricity, household gas, banking access, communication and digital competence, are now being addressed as prime issues for the nation. The government may create policy and plan budgets, but true success for India will manifest when each individual citizen stands up to act in his or her own responsibility. The measure of achievement is not just in the ability to frame laws or develop infrastructure. To be able to inspire and move people to act for their own emancipation is the key to the success of a generation. It is in his ability to exhort and support the individual Indian that Modi has excelled. No man is a perfect man, but he is the man of the moment, Gupta added.
