Army Organises Inter School Festival & Competition at Poonch

JAMMU, OCT 14: With the aim to connect and engage children of remote areas of Poonch District, Indian Army organised an Inter School Festival and Competition on Poem Recitation, Elocution and Selection of Science Projects Competition for students of Poonch District at Army Goodwill School, Potha.
The competition consisted of poem Recitation for students from Nursery to Second Standard, Elocution Competition on the topic "Swachh Bharat" for students from Third to Fifth Standards and Science projects on the theme "Swachh Bharat" for students from Sixth to Ninth standards. The Competition witnessed exceptional demonstration of talent in all categories by all participants of ten schools of Poonch District through well prepared poems, speeches and science projects. The event demonstrated the zeal and enthusiasm amongst young minds, thorough preparation, in-depth understanding of themes besides the competitive nature. The winners from all categories were suitably awarded. A large number of students, teachers and civil population include prominent personalities enthusiastic parents witnessed the event and enjoyed the musical afternoon.
Such event, in remote localities not only encourages the students to display their talents but also boost their confidence in stage performance in front of a large gathering.
