Div Com Jammu holds public outreach camp at Darhal

Asks departments to aware people about central schemes

RAJOURI, Oct 15: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, today conducted an extensive tour of Qila Darhal Block of district Rajouri and held a public outreach programme to listen to and address the grievances of the local people.
The Div Com was accompanied by Deputy Commi-ssioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, Senior Superin-tendent of police Yougal Manhas, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Samyal, Assistant Commissioner Development Sushil Khaj-uria, Assistant Commi-ssioner Defence Ramkesh Shar-ma, Deputy Director Health Services, District Panchayat officer Dr.Abdul Khabir, District social welfare officer Naseeb Ahmed, Block Devel-opment Officer, Tehsildar besides Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD, I&FC, senior functionaries of Handloom, Handicraft, Agriculture, Animal, sheep, fisheries Health, Education and other block level officers.
The Public outreach camp was attended by a large number of people from villages of Rajpur Kamila, Rajpur Bhatta, Lam, Anand, and Panchayat representatives. The public of the area sought better road connectivity, renovation of school buildings, adequate health facilities, provision of Ambulances for PHC Loraka and new Health institution at Qila Darhal, up gradation of PHE and PDD infrastructure, play ground, adequate staff in schools and related issues concerning their respective areas. They specific issues and demands included sanctioning of a degree college, Kendraya Vidhyalaya ,J&K bank branch at tehsil HQ and two government buildings for tehsil and block headquarters respectively, sanctioning of a milk collection and a dairy centre at Village Lam, ambulance facility, electric poles, sanctioning of bunkers for Panchayat Kampla Mohra, construction of a guest house for historic Qila located at Tehsil for facilitating the tourists, sanctioning of sectoral level posts for the tehsil including tehsil agriculture, tehsil horticulture officers, CDPO, TSWO and others, installation of a BSNL tower for better internet and calling facility, sanctioning of one handpump per Panchayat of the tehsil, release MGNREGA wages and delay in execution of work on bridge at domail to tharmalla road, Black-topping of road from Laroka to Panara, immediate start of work on road from Rajwa to Pukhrani and road from Pukharni to Jajotkandu, issue of cleanliness in schools. Responding to the people's demands, the Div Com said that the Outreach initiative aims at to listen to the grievances of the public at their door steps and to facilitate early redressal in an efficient manner on the basis of feedback obtained through such Camps.
He stressed upon the officers present to be proactive and responsive towards the public grievances and asked them to assert themselves in resolving the issues of public importance. He particularly impressed upon them to show keen interest in ensuring the quality of developmental works in rural areas. He assured the people that all their genuine demands would be processed for early redressal. The Div Com issued on spot directions to the concerned departments for looking into all the issues raised by the public for an early redressal.
Stressing on cleanliness and sanitation at Education Institution, he directed concerned to conduct inspection of government schools and offices to take stock of the civic amenities available.
