Govt Aurvedic Hospital organizes free medical camp

JAMMU, OCT 15: Govt. Aurvedic Hospital, Jammu organized awareness and Free Medical camp at Nai Basti. Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu organized a Free Medical camp and awareness programme at Ram Lila Chowk Nai Basti in collaboration with Jagriti Mahila Udyog Kendra. In this camp more than 256 people are benefitted by the camp suffering from different ailments. Free medicine was distributed.The programme was organized under the outreach programme of the hospital .
Dr.Taran Singh Medical superintendent of GAH in his message said that under the outreach programme of the hospital many such programmes are organized in different parts of Jammu. Many patients from Nai Basti area visit our hospital for the treatment of different ailments. Keeping in view the demand of people from the area and on on the request of different sections of society decided to organize a camp in Nai Basti in the interest of Patient care. He said that being the Himalayan state and home of best quality herbs, J&K can become the best destination for people seeking health benefits under eco friendly conditions. We can adopt new strategy for promotion of health tourism in Jammu.
He further suggested the people to avoid junk food and unhealthy eating habits Ayurved stresses upon right diet. He further added Ayurveda places special emphasis on Ahara and believes that healthy nutrition nourishes the mind, body, and soul. Ahara is considered as one of the key pillars (Upasthambha). He apprised people about value of nourishment through diet in his lecture on the occasion. He stressed upon the diet should be included of all essential element of nutrition . He said that nutritious diet is essential for active mind and healthy body.
Speaking on the occasion members Mahila Udyog Kendra thanked the administration of Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital for organizing such camp. They extended their support to make Ayurved popular. Dr. Jatinder Kumar M.D., Dr. Ruhi M.D.,Sh. Mohinder Singh Senior Pharmacist, Sh. Sukheel Parvez Jr. Pharmacist,Sh. Sat Pal, Sh. Sudesh Kumar NO, Sh. Masroor Ahmad N.O. extended their services for the successful camp.
