JKPS organizes annual aquatic meet

JAMMU, Oct 16: JK Public School, Kunjwani organized Annua Aquatic Meet on 16 October 2019. The event was graced with the presence of IG Police Jammu, Mr. Mukesh Singh (IPS) as Chief Guest. Mr. Vinay Sharma (IPS) SP Jammu was the Guest of Honor for the occasion. The other dignitaries present were Mr. Raj Daluja Chairman J K Educational Society, Ms. Shashi Chaudhary, Director, J K Educational Society, Ms Vandana Sharma Principal JK Public School, Ms Shashi Rattan Vice Principal JKPS and the School Coordinator Ms Deepti Joshi.
Ms.Vandana Sharma, Principal, J K Public School Kunjwani welcomed the Chief Guest with her address followed by welcome song by school choir. Thereafter the School Sports Captain took the oath on behalf of all the participants and the meet was declared open by the Chief Guest. The young budding of J K Public School showcased colours of Indian culture through folk dance which was mesmerizing.
The swimming pool had a very festive and colorful look. Swimmers of all age groups and classes participated with full vigor. Around 150 students came together to showcase their swimming powers by displaying their swimming skills in varied styles like Free Style, Back Stroke and Breast Stroke. The event after event saw a display of beautiful sportsmanship as swimmers dove into the inviting water and specially made their way through the length of the pool.
There were breath taking moments of sporting ability as some swimmers easily outstripped the others in the lanes next to them .The clappers and splashes echoed throughout the swimming pool with enthusiastic swimmers diving in and coming out of the pool. The junior and senior wing demonstrated their virtuosity through Aquatic Dance which enthralled the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mukesh Singh IGP Jammu congratulated the whole fraternity of J K Educational Society for the event and preparing their children for future ventures in the field of swimming .Also, he appreciated the efforts of the team for their coordination to make this event a grand success. He had a special word of appreciation for the management of school for providing excellent infrastructure to students. He appreciated for such a covered swimming pool only of its kind in the state. He applauded the coaches and the music department for the perfect coordination. Further, he added that the JKIANS are privileged to be a part of such an institution where they can master all their skills under one roof.
Jayvardhan Singh of class VI and Harshita Dagar of class VIII were judged as Best Swimmer (Boy and Girl) respectively. Tagore House lifted the Rolling Trophy. The winners were awarded by the Chief Guest. Mr. Raj Daluja, Chairman J K Educational Society felicitated the Chief Guest with a memento as a token of respect and honor. Vote of Thanks was presented by the event organizer and Primary Wing Coordinator Ms Sonia Pawar and the event culminated with National Anthem.
