JAMMU, OCT 18: JKPCC has termed the privatization of Power Development Department as anti people move of the government which would badly affect the common and poor man besides the service condition of employees especially the fate of daily wagers, need based and casual workers.
Urging the government to review its decision and take into consideration the demands of the employees including daily wagers, casual and need based workers, Congress has described the privatization as anti-people especially the poor and common people who would suffer the most and face the exploitation in the hands of private players, unless proper check and balance mechanism is put in place.
Extending support to the agitating employees, Congress has asked the government to put in public domain the entire roadmaps including fate of daily wagers, need based and casual workers apart from the measures to protect the interests of consumers who are real stake holders.
Meanwhile, the party has lashed out at the centre and state government over being indifferent and insensitive to the woes of the people due to continued agitation over the issue of Toll Plaza at Sarore.
The traffic is suspended and large scale protests and resentment has left the common man suffering but government is unmoved. While reiterating the demand for immediate stoppage of Toll Plaza at Sarore, the party said that BJP is totally indifferent to the genuine demand which will affect all section of people from various parts of the country, being tourist and pilgrims state.
