Krida Bharti to present 'Jija Bhai' Sports Awards

JAMMU, OCT 18: Krida Bharti Jammu and Kashmir shall honour outstanding sportspersons of the state with 'Jija Bhai' Sports Awards in a special function to be held on November 10, at Bhartiya Vidiya mandir Jammu.
"The awards shall be presented to Parents of those young sports achievers from Jammu and Kashmir in a bid to further encourage and promote the culture of sports in the state. Since Parents play a very important role in building an athlete, the award in the name of 'Jija Bhai' shall be presented to them (Parents) only," informed president of the Krida Bharti J&K, Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Earlier, Krida Bharti J&K in an executive body meeting held here finalised the details of the first of its kind event in the state. "We have almost decided about the first of its kind felicitation of achievers in sports. However, the selection penal, constituted for the purpose, has yet to finalise the names of the sportspersons to be honoured," said vice president of Krida Bharti J&K, Dr Sanjogita Soodan.
The concerned committee of five members shall be inviting applications from those sports achievers of different sports disciplines so as to finalise the names.
