Army conducts training on commercial mushroom farming

JAMMU, OCT 18: Army has been constantly undertaking a variety of programme for welfare of AWAM and to ambit job opportunities for locals. In continuing with the same spirit, Army organised training on commercial mushroom farming at Shergwari for locals of Kishtwar region. This novel training programme was conducted from 16 Aug to 18 Oct 19 and was attended by 16 locals hailing from far flung areas of Shergwari region. The training was conducted with an aim to provide self employment to locals of the region. This training will enable the locals to achieve economic independence by empowering them financially.
Speaking on the inaugural session, the locals expressed their gratitude towards the Army for the noble initiative and providing an opportunity to them to acquire skills for employment which can further be developed into a profession and a means of decent livelihood.
