Mayor visits Bhagwati Nagar, listens grievances

JAMMU, Oct 19: Continuing his commitment to provide better basic as well as development facilities to the people of Jammu city, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corpo-ration Chander Mohan Gupta today on 19-10-2019 along with Parmod Kapahi Councillor of Ward No.14 toured in the areas of Khust Ashram Bhagwati Nagar & its adjoining localities and listened to the grievances of the inhabitants as well as management of the said Ashram. A large no. of people as well as Ashok Kumar AEE & B.K.Raina concerned J.E. were also present during the tour.
Mayor, reviewed the development works which is in progress which includes construction of retaining wall, development of park & installation of tiles at Khust Ashram Bhagwati Nagar at the estimated cost of Rs. 5.00 Lacs and directed the concerned to speed up the work on merits as demanded by the persons present on spot management of Khust Ashram and make the surrounding of the said Ashram eco friendly by planting more saplings. The inhabitants also put forth before visiting dignitaries for installation of street lights, lifting of stray dogs/ animals, rectification & disilting of lanes/drain in their locality, proper sanitation. Mayor assured that all their demands will be taken up on war footing and also appeal to them not to use single used plastic, polythene etc, and avoid throwing, garbage, filth, etc. in the public lanes & drains and co-operate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in development activities and making Jammu really a smart city.
