Tiger Division hosts joint workshop on cyber security

Jammu, Oct 19: A Joint workshop was organised on cyber security by IIT, NIELIT, Jammu & Tiger Division of Army. The theme of the workshop was "Cyber Security - Our Shared Responsibility". The focus of workshop was on functional & practical issues of cyber security with domain experts from IIT & NIELIT, Jammu sharing their views on subject. The workshop was attended by large number of defence Personnel.
In the half days workshop the guest speakers talked about the importance & relevance of the Cyber Security, as being in an increasingly networked world make us more prone to hacking & other such forms of Cyber attacks. The team gave an overview on Cyber Security which included Do's & Dont's for all cyber users. This was followed by a more extensive session on topics like Wireless security, Ethical hacking, Cyber Laws, Hard-ware security & Crypt-ography. The session concluded with a hands-on experience whereby all the attendees were given live demonstrations and practical solutions to such issues were discussed in detail. The workshop was well appreciated by all the attendees and speakers. The event was a beginning of joint effort by Army & domain specialists in tackling the cyber security issues & future threats.
