CII organizes Industrial Visit

JAMMU, NOV 18: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized an Industrial visit for students of Engineering and Technology to JAKSON Engineers Ltd. The major objective of the educational visit is to provide exposure to students about practical working environment. It also provided students a good opportunity to gain full awareness about industrial and managerial practices.
Mr Vishnu Dixit, Plant Head, Jakson Engineers Ltd briefed the students about Jakson Group - a leading energy and engineering solutions company offering a range of products and services that help customers effectively meet their energy needs in a safe and sustainable manner. The company is driven by its core values of building enduring relationships and its vision to be a trendsetter in energy solutions. Ms Bhavna, HR Head, Jakson Ltd said, Industrial Visits to manufacturing firms are useful for students to understand the activities at the shop floor level, which in itself is a rare exposure where the students understand the real working environment and also the preparedness and precautions to overcome any emergencies while working, the people management challenges involved in managing workers apart from getting hands-on technical knowledge. The students also learnt about the Energy Saving and Reduction of Power consumption in line with our Prime Minister's agenda, Jakson is working in ruler areas for providing electricity and also making people aware to saving energy. Appreciating the efforts of CII, Prof. BC Sharma, Dean - Internship & Placements, MIET College said, industrial visits bring awareness about new technologies.
Visiting different Manufacturing outlets help students to build a good relationship with the industry to gain a better understanding of jobs in future. Such visits are very important, informative and gives great learning experiences.
