B2V2: Free Medical camp, other activities mark Final Day at Rajouri

RAJOURI, NOV 30: A free medical camp and numerous other activities marked the final day of the ambitious Back to village programme phase II, here today.
The department of health Rajouri today organised a free medical camp exclusively for Kalsian panchayat of block Nowshera.
The camp was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad.
A team of seven doctors and other medical staff provided free medical aid to over 300 patients of the area. The services provided included free medical checkup of hypertension and diabetes patients and essential drugs
As part of National deworming day, drugs like Alvendazol and Zental were given to the children free of cost. Various contraceptive pills and other essential items of birth control were also provided to the people.
The frontline workers of health department disseminated information among the general public regarding health schemes Inderdanush, Ayushmaan Bharat, National Health Mission, Janni Suraksha Yojana etc and urged upon the people to come forward and avail the benefits of these schemes.
Responding to demand of locals, the DDC asked the concerned officer to identify land for the construction of primary health centre for the area.
Chief medical officer Dr. Sanjeev Puri, Block Medical Officer Dr Satpal Pangotra and other officers of health department and district administration were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, series of activities were organised across 110 Panchayat Halqas of 19 blocks of this border dsitrict. The Visiting Officers took stock of the status of work done in B2V1 June this year. They listened to the demands of the public with regard to power, water, roads, healthcare, education, agriculture, horticulture, KCC, Soil Health Cards, issuance of Golden Cards for left out persons, ration cards and development of basic infrastructure.
