Poetry Collection of Pyaasa Anjum released by PLSJ

JAMMU, Dec 4: Poetry collection in Pmjabi, titled 'Raat Bijogan Sooli Tangey' written by Pyaasa Anjum, a noted Hindi and Urdu Ghazal writer of Union Territory of J&K was released by Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Regd.), Jammu today in a literary programme organized by PLS, J at K L Saigal Hall of Cultural Academy, Jammu. Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages presided over the programme where Dr. Baljeet Kaur, HoD, Punjabi Department of University of Jammu was the chief guest, noted Punjabi short story writer Khalid Hussain, Sohail Kazmiwre the special guests. Dr. Monojit, President PLS,J and S., Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik shared the dais. Intellectuals, writers and theatre artists attended the programme.
Dr. Monojit, President PLS,J welcomed the guests. He told that the released book contains one hundred one Ghazals on various themes &issues.
Scholar of Punjabi Department of University and S Ajit Singh Mastana, a senior writer from Kashmir read out their critical evaluation papers giving emphasis the content and techniques of the poetry of Anjum, his viewpoint and contribution in the field of literature. Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn said that the contribution of Pyasa Anjum is appreciable as he has excelled in Ghazal Poetry, particularly in Punjabi Ghazal writing. He admired the presence of writers and intellectuals of all local languages of the region.
Dr. Baljeet Kaur, Khalid Hussain and Sohail Kazmi from the presidium and Rajpaul singh Mastana and Dharmesh Nargotra from the audience also expressed their views.
Pyaasa Anjum counted experiences in his life and read out his choicest poetry on this occasion.
It may be recalled that Pyaasa Anjum has given four poetry books og Ghazals in different scripts and languages. His Bhajans have been sung by many celebrate dingers in films and recorded by many music companies. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik conducted the proceedings of the programme and Dr. Nirmal Vinod extended the vote of thanks.
