DDC Rajouri reviews PWD, PMGSY projects in the district

RAJOURI, DEC4: District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Nazir Sheikh today convened a meeting to review the physical and financial progress of projects approved under PWD and PMGSY department.
DDC was apprised by the SE PWD that 73 projects have been approved under languishing scheme in Rajouri division sanctioned at the cost of Rs 19109.46 lacs. The approved projects included 10 bridges, 55 Roads, 06 school buildings, one PWD building and one youth services and sports building.
Similarly the Executive Engineer PWD Nowshera informed that under languishing there are total 36 projects which included 24 roads, 08 Bridges and 04 school buildings of the education department.
While taking stock of PMGSY projects, he was informed that out of 310 approved projects 182 stands completed till date and rest are in progress.
DDC instructed the officers to work with utmost dedication and zeal. He asked the officers to maintain the quality while executing the work and establish a close liaison with the local population so that the progress and quality of the work can be monitored by the public for whom these developmental activities are carried out.
He also cautious the field staff to remain stationed in the field and monitor the progress on a daily basis.
DDC also reviewed that state sector, district sector, NABARD and CRF projects and directed the concerned Departments to complete the projects within the stipulated time.
