Jammu, Dec 5: The President Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) convened a meeting of the DSS core group on his return from Delhi. After detailed deliberations the DSS decided to extend its full support to Bandh Call given by some Political and other Jammu based organizations and appealed them to unite on one platform and fight for the solutions of various problem being faced by the public of this region and keeping both Jammu and Kashmir Secretariats operative throughout the year for better accessibility for public of both regions when they are needed most in harsh seasons. The members pointed out that Jammu region has always suffered for the unrest and lawlessness that prevailed in Kashmir Valley. Even now when the Jammu region is absolutely peaceful it is suffering restrictions on internet, just because the internet services are exploited by the terrorists to promote Pakistan sponsored terror plans in few Districts of Kashmir. Such collective punishment across the board to the whole population, innocent and guilty alike is against all norms of justice and methods of administration.
The members pointed out the suffering losses of Jammuites in absence of internet connectivity, the new Toll Plazas discouraging religious tourism, miseries of border population due to unsafe living against Pakistani ceasefire violations, disrupted education, unemployment and unabated rampant corruption and drug peddling. Voices were also raised against the incomplete central sponsored projects in Jammu region and apathy on heritage restoration that may obliterate the very recognition of Dogra Race and region.
The meeting was attended among others by Prof. N. K. Dogra, Col. Karan Singh Jamwal, Prem Sagar Gupta, Col. Dr Virendra K. Sahi,VrC, Brig M. S. Jamwal, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Amanat Ali Shah, R.S.Slathia, Raj Kumar Thapa, Dhara-mchand, Sukhdev Singh, Krishan Kumar, Sdr. Hakumat Singh, G. A.
