Justice Magray visits District Jail Kupwara

Stresses on speeding up process of disposal of pending cases

KUPWARA, Dec 5: Justice Ali Mohammad Magray, Judge J&K High Court today visited District Jail Kupwara where he inspected the jail building and took stock of the facilities being provided to the detainees.
Justice Magray also interacted with the detainees lodged in district jail Kupwara and enquired about the facilities at the jail. On the occasion the detainees put forth their demands before Justice Magray.
Justice Magray also reviewed the progress of under construction jail building and asked the Jail authorities to ensure that the new building is built on the modern lines complete with all required facilities. Sub Judge Javid Aalam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, District Jail Superintendent Kupwara, Shahbaz Hassain, DYSP Hqr, 162 Bn CRPF Assistant Commandant and other functionaries of District Court Kupwara and District Jail Kupwara were present on the occasion.
Special Mobile Magistrate Traffic Yahya Firdous who also accompanied Justice Magray during his visit from Srinagar to Kupwara, enroute challaned number of vehicles for violation of traffic rules. Under the supervision of Justice Magray, the Special Mobile Magistrate Traffic issued 54 challans to traffic violators. A fine of Rs 50000 was also realised on the occasion.
