Mayor kick starts various development works

Jammu, Jan 22: Continuing the drive to provide better development and basic facilities to the people of Jammu city, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 22/01/2020 conducted an extensive tour of various parts of Jammu city in ward no.49,50 & 53 and took stock of the different development activities in the said wards and met with the inhabitants of the these wards & also listened to their grievances patiently. In ward no.49, Mayor inaugurated a well furnished community /public toilet at Balgram SOS Home, Channi Rama, Jammu on the demands of management of S.O.S Home alongwith Kamal Singh Jamwal, Councilor of ward no.49 Arun Gupta, XEN JMC, Anil Gupta, AEE JMC representatives of Voluntary Organization on Enviro-nment & Social Economic Planning (VOESEP) concerned contractor, Manag-ement of SOS Home, children studying at Balgram. Mayor also laid foundation stone of construction of deep drains at sec 4 Channi Himmat Jammu near Ambika supermarket with approved cost ofRs.2.70 crore alongwith Baldev Singh Billoria , Chairman Health & Sanitation committee JMC, Neena Gupta Councilor of ward no.50 , Vinay Gupta, Distt President BJP, Neeraj Puri Councilor of ward no.54& Gandhi nagar BJP mandal President, Anil Kumar Massom Councilor of ward no.10 Sanjeev kumar Gupta AEE UEED, inhabitants of Channi Himmat & other field staff of JMC. Mayor directed the engineers of UEED to execute the said development works with quality material & within stipulated time period.
Later Mayor toured in the Trikuta nagar area of ward no.53 alongwith Smt. Jyoti Devi and started the upgradation & renovation of Jagdish Aggarwal park in Trikuta nagar area in presence of Baldev Billoria Chairman Health & Sanitation committee, Neeraj Puri councilor of ward no.54 & Gandhi Nagar BJP mandal president vinay Gupta Distt president BJP Anil Kumar Massom Councilor of ward no.10, Sham Lal Senior BJP leader & other prominent citizens of Trikuta Nagar area.
This was the long pending demand of the inhabitants of this locality & this renovate work will be done with modern facilities at the estimate cost of Rs 5.00 lacs by Jammu municipal Corporation like other parks of Jammu city.
