Railways Minister visits Bishnah, assesses public issues

JAMMU, JAn 23: Union Minister of State for Railways, Suresh C. Angadi, today had an exhaustive tour of Bishnah to take stock of public grievances, as part of centre government's public outreach programme.
Union MoS interacted with various deputations and civil society members of Bishnah block, who projected their demands and problems seeking an early redressal of the same. Transport Commissioner, Owais Ahmed; SDM South Srikant Balasaheb Suse and Executive Director Public Grievance, Dhanajay Singh accompanied the Minister during the visit.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted achievements and development recorded in the UT of J&K under various central schemes. He said that the government of India is committed towards overall development of Jammu and Kashmir through schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Pradham Mantrti Jan Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana and Ujjwala Yoyana.
On the occasion, the Union MoS e-inaugurated blacktopped road from main road towards Chumbian Brahmana of Panchayat Chak Bana and improvement of link road from ward number 2 up to KC Morh Bishnah.
Earlier, the Minister inaugurated Sports Stadium at Panchayat Rehal Dhamalian where he interacted with the students and local cricket team.
Meanwhile, the Minister also released an album regarding various development works being done in block Bishnah.
Among others senior officers of various departments, Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals were present on the occasion.
