Prices hike of government rations by 40% is beyond tolerance: Mankotia

UDHAMPUR, JAN 23: Mr. Balwant Singh Mankotia, State President-JKNPP & former MLA in Press Conference said that the poor people of Jammu Kashmir are already facing the heat of price hike and again on January 1, 2020 by increasing the govt. ration rate upto five Rupee per kg ATTA /RICE, the government has given another gift to thousands of poor families in Jammu and Kashmir on the New Year 2020. Mankotia said before 2019, the rate of government rations was Rs. 13 Rupees per kilogram Atta and Rice was 15 Rupees per kilogram, but now on New Year govt. has increased Atta Rs. 18 per kilogram and rice twenty rupees per kilogram which is out of reach of common man, he warn the govt. to reduce the rates of ATTA and RICE on being distributed at Ration Depot otherwise get ready to face the consequences.
