JKTJAC highlights issues

Jammu, Jan 27: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) Under the leadership of UT President Vinod organized a press conference at Press Club Jammu regarding the renaming of Forum and projection of issues of the cadre.
While interacting with the media persons Mr Vinod Sharma said that formally Jammu Kashmir ReT Teachers' Forum has been renamed as Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee with immediate effect as already announced by our Kashmir unit last week.
He said that this step has been taken in the backdrop of Government's decision to close ReT scheme and to convert regularised ReTs to Teachers Grade II and Teachers Grade III. He said that JKTJAC consists of Teachers Grade II , Teachers Grade III, 3rd teachers, left out ReTs and other teachers and leadership of the same will work with quite dedication to come up to the expectations of the teaching community.
On the occasion genuine issues of the cadre were raised which include : Conversion of left out teachers and newly regularised ReTs to Teachers Grade II / Teachers Grade III as they are without salary for last one year and facing a lot of hardship to make their both ends . He also said that IGNOU authorities have not revoked the order of cancellation of papers till date thereby creating a chaos and confusion among the B.Ed. aspirants. "Though , we held one day peaceful protest at Jammu on 16.01.2020 and gave one week ultimatum but nothing has been done so for and said that if the order of cancellation of B.Ed papers isn't revoked before 30.01.2020 , a future course of action regarding the protest demonstration will be announced and for such decision IGNOU authorities will be personally responsible."
