DM Kishtwar appeals public to observe lock down

KISHTWAR, Mar 25: To ensure that the adequate utilities are well placed and to strengthen the preparedness for combating COVID-19 infections, District Magistrate Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara, today inspected the Kendriya Vidyala school, NHPC Hospital Semina colony, DIET and the medical hospitals where the upcoming institutional quarantines are to be established to augment administrative quarantine facilities in the district.
He was accompanied by Additional District Development commissioner Mohammad Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Parihar among others.
The administrative quarantine will serve the purpose of providing additional 200 beds for which the procurement of bedding and other allied essentials like buckets, jugs, towel etc had been made by the district administration.
"Anybody unnecessarily venturing out of home shall be dealt with stringent action," DM warned the people and also appealed the people of Kishtwar to cooperate with administration and follow the 21 days Nationwide lockdown announced by Prime Minister religiously by staying at home, maintaining social distancing and not venturing out on roads and streets.
He also appealed them to help in identifying persons who have foreign travel history by informing the administration through control room on the phone no:-01995-259555.
