JAMMU, Mar 27: Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) a spiritual organisation having pan India presence, has come out to extend help to the Govt. of the various States in India including UT of J&K.
The RadhaSoami Sect headed by Head Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon, who is a philanthropist, had issued instructions to all the field functionaries to open up its centres in J&K, Punjab and other places where ever required by the administration for helping the needy persons in the hour of pandemic and global health crisis.
The other day the major centre of the organisation at ThandiKhui in Distt Samba J&K was handed over to the Administration, where a quarantine centre has been set up. At the same time, the organisation had acceded to the request of the authorities to provide cooked food i.e. three times meals, at this quarantine centre. However the Sect Head respectfully addressed as Baba ji, later also issued instructions to provide packed food to the needy people in various states of India.
In J&K, the Radha Soami Centres in Kathua, Samba and Keran Jammu have been handed over to the administration for boarding, lodging and providing food, water and other facilities to the inmates of the quarantine centres.
Besides the serving food to all the inmates of the quarantine centres, packed food is also being prepared for inmates in Kathua, stranded passengers at Lakhanpur and also at Jammu at its Keran (Bantalab) Centre.
The organisation is preparing the clean and hygienic food and handing it over after packing to the administration for distributing the said packed food to the needy people at various places who are unable to move out during complete lockdown situation in J&K.
This benevolence of the RSSB Sect Head has been highly appreciated by the BJP President Mr RavinderRaina (ex MLA Nowshera). In his message to one of the functionaries, he said that the act is highly appreciable and he admired the qualities of Baba ji who had come out at this hour of acute disaster on the world and particularly the nation.
The Mayor of Jammu Mr Chander Mohan Sharma, also expressed his gratitude to the Sect Head and the organisation. He said that the organisation had always been in forefront at the times of the crisis be it flash floods, earthquake or any other national disaster and expressed gratitude to the Guru.
Though RSSB sect head - Baba ji is full of kindness and keeps fulfilling the responsibilities towards the mankind and human race, but the organisation and its Head do not proselytise its philanthropic activities and perform selfless service (seva). If such like Saints and their organisations take up the causes of mankind; it is sure that God would be kind upon the human race and save it from such a pandemic- COVID 19- Corona Virus.
It may be mentioned that not only in J&K but in fifteen villages around the Dera Beas in Punjab where 1500 packed lunch were distributed. RSSB has sent 10,000 packets of food to these places from Dera Beas. As many as 31,500 packed packet of food were sent at Majitha constituency, and the organisation has also arranged packed food for Jallandhar, Pathankot, Balachaur, Khanna, Ludhiana, Mohali, Patiala, Moga, Ferozpur and Malout through its local centers. Similar services were also being extended in KohlaNadam and Bhota in Himachal Pradesh, Rudarpur in Uttarakhand, Sikanderpur, Panchkula and Jagadhri in Haryana, Surathgarh in Rajasthan, Saharnpur in Uttar Pradesh and national capital Delhi.
The spiritual organisation RSSB also owned 3 hospitals at Beas, Bhota (HP) and Sikanderpur (Haryana) and was providing all medical facilities free of cost to the patients of adjoining areas.
The organisation states on its official portal- 'While the RSSB organisation may receive recognition for helping with these disasters, all credit must be given to the volunteers who, at great inconvenience to themselves, work night and day in difficult conditions to help people whom they don't even know. This is the ultimate act of selfless service as taught by the Masters.
As MaharajCharan Singh taught, "The greatest reward in seva (service) is the contentment and happiness that you feel within, that you get an opportunity to serve someone."
