COVID-19: Shrine Board employees contribute one day’s salary towards J&K Relief Fund

KATRA, Mar 29: To contribute towards the efforts being undertaken to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the employees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board have contributed one day's salary for the J&K Relief Fund.
Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said that the donated amount has been raised by the Shrine Board employees through contribution of their one day's salary while the gazetted officers of the Board have contributed their two days' salary towards the Relief Fund.
Mr. Ramesh Kumar further said that on the directions of the Lieutenant Governor, Sh. Girish Chandra Murmu, Chairman of the Shrine Board, the Board today distributed ration kits among the slum dwellers and other stranded workers at Katra.
It is pertinent to mention that the Shrine Board has also earmarked a 600-bedded quarantine facility at Aashirwad Complex at Katra for the identified persons, which has been handed over to the District Administration and the inmates there are being provided with the essential facilities like boarding, lodging, etc by the Shrine Board, free of cost.
The Board has also provided accommodation at Katra to the officers of the District Administration deployed on emergency duty in connection with COVID-19.
