JMC distributes Dry Ration kits in Slums

JAMMU, Mar 29: In view of the prevailing situation arising due to outbreak of Covid-19 the Jammu Municipal Corporation besides undertaking sanitation spraying and fumigation drives also took steps to provide the dry ration to the needy and down trodden persons living in the slum areas within the limits of JMC.
As per the Jammu survey conducted by Municipal Corporation in the recent past eleven such sites were identified out of which three such locations viz. Panjtirthi Dounthli towards Circular Road, Bawa Basti Dogra Hall and Kabir Colony Dogra Hall have been covered today and about three hundered kits of Dry Ration comprising of essential commodities like wheat flour 5kg, Rice 5kg, Dal 1kg, Sugar 1kg, Edible Oil 1L, Salt 1kg, Onion 2kg, and Potatoes 2kg have been provided to the each family living there. The other locations shall also be covered in the continous drives for distribution of Dry Ration kits in Slums within the limits of JMC.
The said distribution of Ration has been personally monitored by Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Ms Avny Lavasa (IAS) alongwith Secretary, JMC Ms Tinna Mahajan (KAS), Deputy Director Planning Sandeep Sharma, Chief Enforcement Officer Rajesh Gupta, Enforcement Officer Kamni Kesar, Revenue Officer Sunil Kumar and Sanitation Officer Rajinder Kumar & subordinate staff of JMC.
