ISM organizes camp for free distributionof Ayush medicines

JAMMU, MAY 18: Keeping in view the growing number of novel Corona virus cases in Jammu, the Directorate of Indian System of Medicines (ISM) Jammu today distributed free Ayush medicines for immunity boosting among the Municipal workers, those associated with the social services and others at Jullaka Mohalla, Ward No. 2 in Jammu.
Deputy Mayor, Smt. Purnima Sharma and former MLA Jammu East, Sh. Rajesh Gupta were the special guests on this occasion.
The camp was organized under the aegis of Dr. Mohan Singh, Director, ISM, Jammu and Dr. Suresh Kumar Sharma, Assistant District Medical Officer (ADMO), ISM, Jammu.
A medical team comprising Dr. Kamini, Dr. Nidhi Sharma and Dr. Supriya interacted with the beneficiaries and briefed them about various Ayush drugs helpful in prevention of novel Corona virus infection, which were being distributed free of cost.
Speaking on the occasion, they laid emphasis on maintaining hygiene along with adopting other important measures such as wearing of masks, social distancing, frequent cleansing of hands, use of sanitizers etc for protection from the deadly virus.
The doctors also spoke on how to use the Ayush drugs for best results as preventive measures during the current critical situation when all are advised to stay home during as the lockdown period has further been extended.
Sh. Nishad Khajuria, Pharmacist and Sh. Kashish Sharma, NO, were also part of the medical team. More than 100 beneficiaries belonging to different sections of the society including sanitation workers attended the camp.
The Ayush drugs, which were distributed on the occasion, included Dashmularishth, Amritarishta, Anu Tel, Kuka tablets, Khadiradhibati, Respiden and Himtone etc.
Prominent among those present were senior BJP leader Sh. Rajinder Sikka, Sh. Gourav Sikka, Sh. Sumit, Sh. Shashi Sapolia, Sh. Ripudaman Sharma, Sh. Vinod Sharma, Sh. Vikas Bhatia, Sh. Narinder Sharma and a host of others.
