DCC continues relief distribution drive in Jammu East

Jammu, May 22: DCC picked up its Relief Distribution Drive in Jammu East, as team members delivered ration items to the doorsteps of the needy in Ward 19, at Old University Campus, earlier today.
The party has been apportioning ration in underserved and unreached areas of Jammu since the lockdown began. The program was organised by Congress Ward President Ajay Kumar of Ward no. 19.
Under the leadership of Yogesh Sawhney, Former Minister J&K and General Secretary PCC Incharge District President Jammu Urban, DCC members helped arrange essentials for various needy families and individuals. Yogesh Sawhney said that the PCC control room Jammu has identified the desperately needy families who are badly hit by the continuation of lockdown. The party is targeting these areas and helping the deserving people where the District administration could not reach. "It may still take us a long time to return to normalcy, especially for people whose livelihoods are affected. Thus, our distribution work has to continue as long as people in need." stated Sawhney. "Even when the number of COVID cases is increasing, the revocation of the lockdown restrictions can worsen the situation.
Prominent leaders including Yogesh Sawhney, Neeraj Gupta Secretary PCC, Dr RamaKant Khajuria and Pawan Dev both Vice President DCC, Anoop Gupta General Secretary DCC, Ajay Kumar, Garu Ram were present at the distribution program.
