Together we all can get CIVID-19 mitigated: Kavinder

JAMMU, May 22: While lauding the role of the Union Government decision on a two-pronged strategy: lock down the entire nation to break the infection chain and quickly ramp up its healthcare facilities to face the COVID-19 pandemic in India, former Deputy Chief Minister & senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta said that developing health infrastructure, especially in the rural areas should be prioritized by the government.
Gupta was addressing the gathering of blood donors at bold donation camp organized by BJYM Jammu District president & Councilor Anil Kumar at Greater Kailash, ward-68. Gupta thanked and honored the donors and said 'Rakt daan is Maha daan' to save precious lives. Gupta said our 'Yua Morcha' is always front runner in the hour of need.
Referring to the ongoing pandemic, Gupta added that although the Govt. is doing commendable job, but, need of hour is to streamline and develop healthcare infrastructure to cope up with COVID-19 like pandemic in future. Another area to be looked into is the escalating prices of essential medicines. Gupta as accompanied by, District president-Vinay Gupta, General Secretary-Ankush Gupta, Capt. Jameet Singh, Rohit Verma, Sanjay Kumar, Rohiin Chandan among prominent persons and doctors & staff from health department were present.
Meanwhile earlier in the day, Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir held a meeting of senior leaders, which was chaired by former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Guptya, at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar. Gupta was also accompanied by State secretary-Arvind Gupta, senior Bjp Kulbhushan Mohtra, District General secretary -Ankush Gupta and State office secretary-Tilak Gupta, councilor Rahul Kumar and Rachit Khosla.
Kavinder Gupta lauded the role being played by every person associated with health care for rendering round the clock services for treatment of the suspected patients, Police and Civil administration for their services for identifying the persons suspected with the COVID-19 due to physical contacts with patients and based on their travel history to the red zone areas.
However the facilities at quarantine centers and COVID-19 testing procedures needs to streamlined. Adding further Gupta said, "We all should come together under one umbrellas for getting CIVID-19 mitigated",
Arvind Gupta said the Govt. should prefer home quarantine for the persons who are being brought back to J&K instead of sending them to quarantine centers as in almost all the centers there is lack of washrooms and latrines.
He informed the meeting members that at many places there is on bathroom for more than 75 inhabitants thus risking the lives of quarantined persons and the officials deployed there.
Kavinder said soon a deputation shall be meeting Lt. Governor with the observation by our teams, complaints by people quarantined or their relatives and queries received over phones from the public. Kavinder directed District president to compile all such data in consultations with the volunteers upto ward level who have the factual ground report, so that needful is done at the earliest through Lt. Governor and his administration.
