‘Aug-5’ A ‘historic day’ for foundation of Ram Temple: Yudhvir

JAMMU, Jul 31: J&K BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi termed August 5 as a 'historic day', stating that on this day foundation stone of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, will be laid and it also marks the first anniversary of the scrapping of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution.
Speaking at the religious programme held here at Laxmi Narayan Mandir, Saranjan Di Takki, Peer Mitha, the J&K BJP Vice President said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present during the 'Bhoomi Pujan' ceremony in Ayodhya and it will be a "historic" occasion.
Today's programme was organised by Pt Sat Pal Raina in which he narrated the Ram Katha and also highlighted the significance of the same.
On the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi and former Minister Priya Sethi were the special guests.
"The temple of Shri Ram is going to be built in the holy city of Ayodhya. It is a matter of great pleasure that the first brick will be laid by Prime Minister Modi. Many Saints have sacrificed their lives in the Ram Lalla Temple movement. Prime Minister Modi has made a huge contribution in freeing Ram Lalla. It is an occasion for celebration by the whole country along with the people of Ayodhya," Sethi said.
"The occasion will be remembered by the generations to come and it's our duty to make this historic moment a glorious one," Sethi emphasized.
J&K BJP leadership will celebrate the day as a festival and ensure participation of a large number of people in it, he added.
"The dream of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya is going to materialise after long 500 years, on August 5. We are preparing to celebrate the day with the people of Delhi as Diwali," Sethi asserted.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a host of other VIPs are likely to attend the ground-breaking ceremony for the Ram temple in Ayodhya on August 5. Grand preparations are on for the ceremony, which will revolve around the installation of a 40 kg silver brick as the foundation stone by the Prime Minister," he said.
