New Education Policy discussed by All India Unaided Colleges

JAMMU, AUG 2: A webinar on New Education Policy-2020 was organized today by Federat ion of Self Financing Tech nical Institutions (FSFTI) under the leadership of Chief Patron, Sri R S Munir athinam, President, Dr. Anshu Kataria and General Secretary Sri K V K RaoPresident/ Secretaries of Unaided Colleges of around 15-16 states including Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Kerala etc participated in the webinar.In his opening remarks, Dr. Anshu Kataria, President FSFTI and Chairman Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh expressed his satisfaction on the reforms in NEP-2020.
He welcomed single regulator concept in which Deemed Univer sities, Private Univ ersities and Central Universities along with all Educ ational Institutions would get level playing field as they would be regulated under common norms.Sri K V K Rao (Andhra Pradesh) made a detailed presentation of NEP-2020 to the members. He while welcoming the NEP-2020 said that this policy would be a Game changer in Education System. He added that the approach to introduce multidisciplinary courses would benefit the stand alone colleges of the country. Sh. Kishore (Tamil Nadu) and Dr. KC Jain (Madhya Pradesh) supported the NEP-2020 and said that as the common norms would regulate all the Educational Institutions, this would uplift the private colleges.
S. Gurkirat Singh and Sh. Mohit Mahajan (Punjab) welcomed the NEP-2020 and said that the education policy would provide Education sector with ample of opportunities.
On the other hand Sh. Lalit Kumar (Delhi) said that there are several loose ends to the education policy which would be very challenging to implement.
