Bhatnagar greets people on Raksha Bandhan

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 2: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar has extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on eve of Raksha Bandhan, saying the festival celebrates the sacred bond of commitment between brothers and sisters.In his message, the Advisor said, Raksha Bandhan symbolises the virtues of love, affection and mutual trust and reaffirms the strong bond of love and affection between brothers and sisters.The Advisor said that on this occasion we should rededicate ourselves to upholding the dignity and respect of women in our country.He added that this festival defines the high place traditionally accorded to women in our society.Advisor Bhatnagar also appealed the people to follow necessary guidelines put in view of the Global pandemic of the COVID 19 while celebrating the ocassion and advised them to strictly follow the concept of Social distancing.The Advisor also prayed for the peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
