August 5 is a historic Day: Kavinder

JAMMU, Aug 5: Former Deputy Chief Minister & BJP senior leader, Kavinder Gupta, along with Vinay Kumar Gupta, District President Jammu, Ankush Gupta, District General Secretary, celebrated Ist anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 in Gandhi Nagar Constit-uency under 'Ek Bharat Ekatam Bharat'.
Kavinder Gupta hoisted the National Flag at his residence and other parts of Gandhi Nagar Constituency, including Shivaji Chowk, Nanak Nagar, Jeevan Nagar and other adjoining areas.
Kavinder Gupta, while speaking at these places after hoisting flags, said that rejecting Pakistan's efforts to create a false narrative about abrogation of Article 370, hundreds of Gujjars, Bakarwals, members of Gorkha and Valmiki Samaj are also celebrating the first anniversary of scrapping of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir .
We are celebrating the completion of one year of abrogation of Article 370 and the positive changes that it brought in Jammu and Kashmir, Gupta said while talking to reporters.
Gupta said that the abrogation of Article 370 has brought about many positive changes and put an end to stone pelting in Kashmir.
Kavinder said that the abrogation of Article 370 last year was "the only operation in the history in which not a single bullet was fired, not a single stone was pelted.
He said while the separatist stranglehold on Kashmir has been broken after August 5 last year, stalwarts of separatism like Syed Ali Shah Geelani have realized that Pakistan is only fuelling violence.
It might be late but better late than never that even Geelani has realised that Pakistan is adopting use and throw policy with them.
Pakistan is only interested in terrorism in Kashmir," he added.
Kavinder Gupta further said that the party has decided that national flag will be hoisted in all wards, booths and panchayats of Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the national anthem to be sung and earthen lamps to be lit in the evening in every household.
Kavinder Gupta said that various programmes are to be held in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory from 5th August to 20th August on the first anniversary of abrogation of Articles 370 & 35 A. He stressed that all the programmes be celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm in the general public by following all the guidelines of COVID-19 prevention.
Kavinder Gupta highlighted that the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya after the decisive verdict of the Supreme Court last year is beginning in "an environment of tranquility" and will "go a long way in strengthening the bonds between Indians.
Mandal Presidents Bharat Bhushan and Neeraj Lucky Puri, Mandal General Secretaries, BJP activists and other prominent persons were also present on the occasions.
