BLSKS presents Dogri musical concert on ‘Drug Abuse’

JAMMU, Sep 18: To promote the traditional culture of J&K & to aware the masses, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan presented musical concert on drug abuse in close coordination with Directorate of Social welfare department Jammu & Kashmir Govt., and Sangam Tru Art Production and presented 28th Friday Dogri Musical Concert "Nasha Kola Bacho" during Quarantine Time at Rehersal hall, Durga Bhawan Janipur, Jammu to promote most effective measures to protect the masses especially the vulnerable population i.e. adolescents from getting exploited by the menace of Drug addiction and enable them to adopt safe and rational use of drugs by way of generating awareness through effective information and communication technologies. The Program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest V.K. Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Infor-mation & Broadcasting, Government of India.
Among the Guest of Honors present were Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K Govern-ment, Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Registrar SMGS Hospital Shalamar Jammu & R.P. Amla, Assisted the Concert. The day commemorated as well with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional, Primitive Folk, Art, Culture of J&K Region in particular & Indian nation in general awareness items. The Specially items prepared on the theme "Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio", "Bacho Bacho Tobacoo Kola Bacho", "Nai Pee Shraban", "Bari Kharab Chutki", "Nahin Piya Tobacco Balma", Nukkad, Skits, Songs and Dances were presented to aware the masses. The Chief Guest Mr. Magotra, said Drugs and Crime uses the commemorative day to highlight the dangers of drug use and their illegal trade and provides educational material to teachers and public officials all over the world to help spread the message about the extreme cultural and economic harm the trade in drugs is still doing across the globe and lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective. In addition to the above program the artist of BLSKS also presented songs on "Surma Nima Nima", "Savdhan Savdhan Corona Mahamari se bacha lo apne Pran". The song were written by M.L. Dogra. The songs were recorded & upload on social media for general public.
