Navratra Prabhat Pheri concludes amidst religious fervor & gaiety

KATRA, Oct 24: The eight days Prabhat Pheri in the holy town of Katra-Vaishnodevi came to conclusion today morning which was jointly organized by J&K Association Prab-hat Pheri and Public Katra in association with SMVD shrine board ,distric administration and municipal council Katra . The function concluded amidst chanting of bhajans & beating of drums at bus stand Katra.
Earlier chief guest Shiv Kumar Sharma former joint secretary J&K sports council & president of sr. citizen forum Katra and guest of honour Kushal Sanmotra cut the ribbon at bus stand Katra from where colorful prabhat pheri procession started in which artists from J&K & a large number of locals and devotees participated.
Today's atraction was dance performance by God Shiva and nadhigans showcased by baldev and party and they chanted the jaikaras of maa vaishnodevi and danced to the beats of drum all along the route.
While speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Shiv Kumar Sharma wished may Maa Vaishnodevi shower her blessings upon all ! & complimented the members of the Prabhat Pheri in making this event colourful, successful and spiritual while adhearing to the guidelines of covid.He informed that organization of prabat pheri during this corona time has flashed a positive message among the masses so far as tourism is concerned. Guest of Hon-our Sh.Kushal Sanmotra said that prabhat pheri during Navratras is a form of devotion & performing Prabhat Pheri at Katra will definitely please Maa Vaishnodevi.
Being the last day of festivity the association members were all enthusiastic and danced in full swing all along the route.
A felicitation ceremony was hosted to honour the CRPF personnels, ladies group led by municipal councilor Bindu Sharma and Renu Arora and members of J&K association of prabhat pheri with mata ki chunaries for making necessary arrangements and better coordination during prabhat pheri. After the Prabhat Pheri culmination kanya poojan was held and Halwa was served to the Yatries and participants who participated in the procession of Prabhat Pheri.
Speaking on the occasion Raj Kumar Padha Chairman J&K asociation of prabhat pheri told that it was the result of coordination & sincere efforts put in by the people of Katra for making the event of prabhat pheri a grand success.He also thanked the district administration ,CRPF 6th battalion Katra ,municipal committee katra , media and katra people for their active cooperation & support during prabhat pheri processions. Association members present on the occasion were Ajay Sharma, .Ramnik Nawada, R.S Manhas , Rattan Sharma, Rja Kumar Dubey Rakesh Sharma .Renue Ji Dhar, Vimal Sharma ,Rakesh Dubey,. Among others present in the procession were Babu Ram, Rattan Chand ,M Ashwini Katoch ,,,Rajinder Kumar Mengi, Murlidhar, Pawan Kumar Subash Chand,Rajesh Gupta,Tota Ram Kasturi Kerni ,Virender Matto,Romesh Pandita,P.N.Koul and others.
