73rd anniversary of Accession Day celebrated: Gupta

JAMMU, Oct 26: Under the leadership of Vinay Kumar Gupta BJP District President Jammu is celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the Accession Day on 26th October and this year's celebrations hold great significance as they come after the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A.
Vinay Kumar Gupta BJP President district Jammu along with Deputy Mayor Adv.Purnima Sharma JMC Celebrated Vilay Diwas at Mubarak Mandi in ward no.1 and adjoining areas of Jammu district. Under the leadership of Vinay Gupta Accession day on 26 October celebrated in every wards, Booth within Jammu district with full enthusiasm and zeal. Vinay Gupta & Purnima Sharma Said October 26 marks the occasion of successful accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India, & the ruling Modi government has announced grand celebrations across J&K.
Vinay Gupta said on the occasion Importantly, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is observing a public holiday on October 26 for the first time since independence.This has become history in the BJP government which will always be counted in memorable moments. He said Jammu district is set to celebrate in every spots, Chowks, Rotary within Jammu district the occasion like August 15 and every BJP leader and activist will make efforts to make it a grand celebration. He said the Instrument of Accession Jammu and Kashmir, a treaty between the state of Jammu and Kashmir and India, was signed on October 26, 1947, by Maharaja Hari Singh. Lord Mountbatten accepted it a day later.
Vinay Gupta urged the people of Jammu district to celebrate 'Vilay Diwas' with the same spirit with which they celebrate Diwali. BJP district president Jammu also urged the citizens to participate in the celebrations.
