Ex Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association expresses anger over ban of liquor canteen

JAMMU, Oct 28: A meeting of the Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association was held in-front of Excise Commissioner, Office Jammu on 22nd October 2020 at 11.00 AM which was presided over by Sat Paul Chairman of the Association and all the prominent members of the association has participated in the meeting and a great resentment was amongst the members regarding the ban for purchase of liquor/Wine/Beer and other house hold items from the CSD for Paramilitary/BRO/Sampark by the Excise Commissioner, J&K U.T.
Due to such a decision of the Excise Department which has been imposed approximately more than 10000 retiree were affected by such SRO and the retiree family which consisting of more than 50000 voters are agaisnt the BJP for such a harsh decision of the Excise Department.
In the meeting the Paramilitary Forces Association has decided that on 28th October, 2020 a demonstration will be taken place in a peaceful manner in-front of Excise Commissioner, Office Jammu and an another demonstration at Press Club Jammu allowing of the facilities of the CSD as per previous practices which was going on since 1962.
The meeting was attended by Shamsher Singh Manhas, D.K. Chauhan General Secretary, Deep Kumar, Mela Ram, Noor Mohd, Yashpal, K.S. Bist, Hans Raj, Munshi Ram, Lovely Pandita, Harvinder Kour, Daleep Kumart & Kamlesh Kumari.
