J&K records 113 new COVID cases

JAMMU, Jan 11: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded 113 new positive cases, while one death took place in the last 24 hours, taking the infection tally to 1,22,651 and the death toll to 1,911, officials said.
Of the fresh cases, 46 were from Jammu division and 67 from Kashmir division of the union territory, they said.
The officials said Srinagar district recorded the highest of 42 cases followed by 35 in Jammu district.
While four districts -- Doda, Samba, Reasi and Ramban -- did not report any fresh cases, 14 other districts had fresh cases in single digits, the officials said.
The number of active cases dropped to 1,768 in the union territory, while 1,18,972 patients have recovered so far, the officials said.
Meanwhile, the UT reported one COVID-19 death from Jammu division in the last 24 hours.
The Bulletin further said that out of 4112373 test results available, 3989722 samples have been tested as negative till 11th January, 2021.
Till date 962197 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 33663 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1768 in isolation and 32235 in home surveillance. Besides, 892620 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 25638 positive cases (including 42 cases reported today) with 219 Active Positive, 24968 recovered (including 86 cases recovered today), 451 deaths; Baramulla has 8034 positive cases (including 01case reported today) with 76 Active Positive, 7786 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today), 172 deaths; Budgam reported 7681 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 75 active positive cases, 7495 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 111 deaths; Kupwara has 5601 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 88 Active Positive, 5419 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today), 94 deaths; Pulwama has 5641 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 95 Active Positive, 5458recovered (including 49 cases recovered today) and 88 deaths; Anantnag district has 4835 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 67 Active Positive, 4684 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 84 deaths; Bandipora has 4671 positive caseswith (including 03 cases reported today)46 Active Positive and 4564 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today), 61 deaths; Ganderbal has 4534 positive cases (including 01case reported today) with 84 Active Positive, 4404 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 46 deaths; Kulgam has 2670 positive cases (including 01 casereported today)with 51 Active Positive, 2566 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)and 53 deaths while as Shopian has 2533 positive cases (including 01case reported today) with99 active positive cases, 2395 and 39 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 24380 positive cases (including 35 cases reported today) with 449 active positive cases, 23566 recoveries (including 73 cases recovered today), 365 deaths; Udhampur has 4166 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 91 active positive cases, 4018 recovered (including 13 cases recovered today)and 57 deaths; Rajouri has 3860 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 56 active positive, 3749 recoveries (including 12 cases recovered today) and 55 deaths; Doda has 3422 positive caseswith 42 Active positive, 3316 recoveredand 64 deaths; Kathua has 3237 positive cases (including 02 cases recovered today) with 19 active positive cases, 3168 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today) and 50 deaths; Kishtwar has 2729 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 08 Active Positive, 2699 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today) and 22 deaths; Samba has 2802 positive caseswith 144 active positive cases, 2619 recoveries (including 35 cases recovered today)and 39 deaths; Poonch has 2468 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 36 active positive, 2408 recoveriesand 24 deaths; Ramban has 2118 positive caseswith 08 active positive, 2089 recoveries (including 19 cases recovered today)and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1631 positive caseswith 15 active positive cases, 1601 recoveriesand 15 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 122651 positive cases in J&K, 11398 have been reported as travelers while 111253 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1321 COVID dedicated beds, 1185 Isolation beds with 1155 vacant beds and 136 ICU beds where 105 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 2345 COVID dedicated beds, 2197 Isolation beds where 1964 beds are vacant and 148 ICU beds where 127 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 3666 COVID dedicated beds, 3382 Isolation beds with 3119 beds vacant and 284 ICU beds with 232 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
