Shiv Sena ingurates “Maa Meenatai” Sewing Training Center

JAMMU, Jan 13: Mission to make women self-reliant, the Jammu and Kashmir unit of Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackrey started 'Maa Meenatai' sewing training centre at Sena Bhawan Jammu today , where women will be provided free sewing training.
Maharashtra's electric and general Kamgar Sena president Kunal Sarmalkar with the party president J&K Manish Sahni jointly inaugurated the center , 'Maa Meenatai' Sewing Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Manish Sahni noted with extreme shock that Jammu and Kashmir is standing at the last row in terms of female employment.
The figures of unemployment among women are shocking.
The female unemployment rate is 76.5 percent while the unemployment rate among men is 19.35 percent.
Sahni said that it was the dream of Late Meenatai' , the wife of Hindu Hriday Samrat and Shiv Sena founder Bala Saheb Thackeray, that the women of the country should become self-sufficient. With the aim to fulfill their dreams, we have started free sewing course for women. Registration for this two months long course has started from today.
Even after the completion of the course, our help will be continue to earn a living and empowered the women.
Sahni thanks the famous designer Suman Sethi and Sudha Sareen for offering free teaching service and needy equipment including sewing machines.
While adding that beautician and English speaking courses will also be started very soon.
On this occasion President Mahila wing Meenakshi Chibber, Chairman Rakesh Gupta , Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, G I Singh , Working President Ashwani Gupta, Vice president Romesh Gupta,Surjeet Singh , Sanjeev Kohli, Vikas Dewan , secretary Raj Singh , Balwant Singh, Sanjeev Soodan , Geeta Lakhotra , Dimple , Raju , Mangu , Pawan Singh and many others were present.
