3 COVID-19 deaths reported in J&K

JAMMU, Jan 14: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday recorded 79 new positive cases and three deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 1,22,964 and the death toll to 1,915, officials said.
Out of the fresh cases, 30 were from Jammu division and 49 from Kashmir division of the union territory, they said.
The officials said Srinagar district recorded the highest of 26 cases followed by 23 in Jammu district.
While six districts -- Shopian, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi and Kishtwar -- did not report any fresh cases, 12 districts recorded fresh cases in single digits, they said.
The number of active cases dropped to 1,468 in the union territory, while 1,19,581 patients have recovered so far, the officials said.
Meanwhile, the UT reported three COVID-19 deaths from Kashmir division in the last 24 hours.
The Bulletin further said that out of 4188783 test results available, 4065819 samples have been tested as negative till 14th January, 2021.
Till date 985055 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 32662 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1468 in isolation and 43921 in home surveillance. Besides, 905089 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 25723 positive cases (including 26 cases reported today) with 192 Active Positive, 25078 recovered (including 31 cases recovered today), 453 deaths; Baramulla has 8050 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 67 Active Positive, 7811 recovered (including 01case recovered today), 172 deaths; Budgam reported 7694 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 54 active positive cases, 7527 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 113 deaths; Pulwama has 5655 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 82 Active Positive, 5485 recovered (including 19 cases recovered today)and 88 deaths;Kupwara has 5608 positive cases (including 01case reported today) with 73 Active Positive, 5441 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today), 94 deaths; Anantnag district has 4839 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 54 Active Positive, 4701 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 84 deaths; Bandipora has 4676 positive caseswith (including 01case reported today)39 Active Positive and 4576 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 61 deaths; Ganderbal has 4546 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 73 Active Positive, 4427 recoveries (including 18 recoveries today)and 46 deaths; Kulgam has 2674 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 46 Active Positive, 2575 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today)and 53 deaths while as Shopian has 2536 positive caseswith70 active positive cases, 2427 (including 14 cases recovered today) and 39 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 24498 positive cases (including 23 cases reported today) with 411 active positive cases, 23722 recoveries (including 52 cases recovered today), 365 deaths; Udhampur has 4176 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 91 active positive cases, 4028 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today)and 57 deaths; Rajouri has 3862 positive caseswith 28 active positive, 3779 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 55 deaths; Doda has 3426 positive cases (including 01 casereported today)with 29 Active positive, 3333 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today)and 64 deaths; Kathua has 3242 positive cases (including 01case recovered today) with 10 active positive cases, 3182 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today) and 50 deaths; Kishtwar has 2729 positive caseswith 08 Active Positive, 2699 recoveries;22 deaths; Samba has 2807 positive caseswith 96 active positive cases, 2672 recoveries (including 53 cases recovered today)and 39 deaths; Poonch has 2469 positive caseswith 29 active positive, 2416 recoveriesand 24 deaths; Ramban has 2121 positive cases (including 01 case reported today)with 11 active positive, 2089 recoveriesand 21 deaths while Reasi has 1633 positive with 05 active positive cases, 1613 recoveriesand 15 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 122964 positive cases in J&K, 11410 have been reported as travelers while 111554 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1321 COVID dedicated beds, 1185 Isolation beds with 1156 vacant beds and 136 ICU beds where 112 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 2345 COVID dedicated beds, 2197 Isolation beds where 2064 beds are vacant and 148 ICU beds where 136are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 3666 COVID dedicated beds, 3382 Isolation beds with 3220 beds vacant and 284 ICU beds with 248 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
