Urvashi Rautela turns a year older today and wishes are pouring in on social media from all quarters. The birthday girl who revealed the birthday surprise planned by her brother, childhood birthdays, and the gifts that she receives from her parents. Excerpts:
How do you plan to celebrate your birthday?
I never had any plans to celebrate because I was busy shooting back-to-back. I have just wrapped up the second schedule of 'Inspector Avinash' with Randeep Hooda. There was a small celebration on the sets. I am also shooting for my International music collaboration, which will be a first. I also celebrated the day with my brother and dear friend Khabib Nurmagomedov; I had a great time. But it is a family ritual to celebrate with my parents, so that’s how I am going to be celebrating it.
Any special birthday gift that is close to your heart?
I truly feel that the special birthday gift, which is extremely close to my heart, is the gift of having my mom and dad. They have got an unique ability to know what I want without me asking for it since the beginning. I think I’m really blessed to have such great parents who are very supportive; I love them! I really don’t want any gifts from them because since childhood I never had to ask them for anything; I am just so grateful for that.
Special memories of childhood birthdays...
I celebrate my birthday on February 25, so, we used to start shopping right from January 25. It used to be really exciting and it we used to go out shopping every single day till we found the right birthday dress. I used to start my special day by going to school and celebrating it with my principal, teachers, school friends, and classmates. At home, we used to have a really big birthday party with my family and everyone.
If you had to invite one Hollywood and one Bollywood celeb to your birthday party, who would that be
If I have to invite someone it has to be Elon Musk. I have a huge crush on him, so it has to be him! The second one on the list would be Vladimir Putin. Then, from Bollywood, I would definitely invite Shah Rukh Khan, and the fourth will be Hollywood actress Zendaya. She is an amazing actor and we are of the same age. Her metamorphosis from a Disney Channel product to this acclaimed actress, makes me connect with her. I really like her work and it is something I aim for too.
