SSP ANTF, Chairman NBF release book ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’

JAMMU, Feb 26: The book namely 'Corporate Social Responsibility (CS-R): Concepts and Theories ' was released at Jammu. The Book is authored by Dr. Rohit Koul who is a well-known author and philanthropist of the country. The Book was launched by Mr. Vinay Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police (ANTF), Mr. Tarun Uppal, Founder and Chairperson Nirbhay Bharat Foundation along with Insp. Sunil Jasrotia, Insp. Pervez Sajad, Mr. Bhupesh Gupta (MD and Owner. Hotel Radisson Blu Jammu), Mr. M.K Koul (Social Activist), Mr.Aman Modi (Defence Consultant) and Advisor People's Hut Foundation) along with others.
This book provides a comprehensive overview of Corporate Social Resp-onsibility (CSR) in Indian corporations following the 2013 legal mandate on corporate spending of profits for CSR. Bringing together authors hailing from diverse walks of life which includes Prof (Dr.) Satya Subrahmanyam, Dir-ector Catholic University in Erbil, Mrs. Ritu Koul, Director, Centre for Skills and Research and many others, the book pursues a 'hands-on' approach, with real-world case studies and examples that help the reader feel the dynamic pulse of India immediately after the ratification of the CSR mandate in the Companies Act, 2013.
Mr. Vinay Sharma said we should make the combined efforts through Individual Social Resp-onsibility and CSR to build a strong and prosperous India will always be remembered. He added India has become the birthplace of social, economic, and environmental transformation through financial investments in domains like CSR.
While talking to the media Dr. Koul said in the book, the first part presents the CSR mandate and its implications, while the second focuses on its implementation and the third part provides a view on the way forward. The book helps to reveal the various layers of CSR in an emerging economy like India and is expected to spark debate, discussion and research among policymakers, consultants, academics, practitioners, and other stakeholders the world over, which will further expand its contribution to CSR literature and open new vistas in CSR research.
