Weekly Block Diwas programmes held in Ramban Dist

RAMBAN, Apr 14: District Administration, Ramban organized weekly Block Diwas at five designated places of different Blocks in the district to improve public service delivery system besides assessing developmental needs of areas. During the Block Diwas, the officers resolved various local issues pertaining to their respective departments, which were raised by the public. Block Diwas events were held at Sangaldan, Banihal, Ukhral, Batote and Ramban where public representatives, PRIs and general masses highlighted their issues for which concerned officers assured quick action. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Harbans Lal attended the Block Diwas in block Ramban where Sarpanch of Panchayat Sancha demanded the opening of a food distribution point in panchayat Sancha & Sarpanch Adwha demanded construction of road to Panchayat Adwha. Responding to the demands, the ADC instructed concerned officers to take necessary action in this regard. Block Diwas meetings were also held at Sangaldan & Gool in which various
revenue certificate including Domicile, RBA & ST were distributed on-spot amongst beneficiaries by the Revenue Officers.
People highlighted various demands including construction of Bus Stand at Sangaldan and Gool and Tehsildar was asked to identify a suitable private land to submit a proposal to higher authorities for the sanction. The officers also made
people aware about importance of covid vaccination,
RT-PCR, RAT testing & Ayushman-Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme besides urging the people over the age of 45 years to visit their nearest CVC to get them vaccinated. The authorized officers were also asked to intensify drives to enforce wearing of face masks at crowded places to prevent spread of infection.
