NMDC celebrates 130th Birthday celebrations of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

Jammu, Apr 14: NMDC celebrated 130th Birthday Celebrations of architect of Indian Constitution Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar today on 14th April, 2021 at NMDC Head Office premises in a befitting manner with patriotic fervour by following Covid-19 appropriate protocols.
The function was organized by NMDC and NMDC HO SC/ST Association and P.K. Satpathy, Director (Production) was the chief guest. B. Sahoo, Executive Director (PC&S) was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. B. Hanumantha Rao, President, B. Jagade-eshwar, working president & B. Pavan Kumar, General Secretary of the NMDC SC/ST Employees Welfare Association along with executive members & empl-oyees were also present on the occasion.
At the outset Chief Guest, Guests of Honour and other dignitaries garlanded portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar & light the lamp along with a prayer song on Bharat Ratna Dr.B.R. Ambedkar. P.K. Satpathy addressing the gathering remembered the contribution of Dr.B.R. Ambedkar as a visionary, leader, teacher, lawyer, politician and social reformer.
He said that Dr. Ambedkar being a leader of the masses always expressed sense of humanity and brotherhood. He appealed the gathering to follow few of his ideals and principles to make this world a better place. He said that his knowledge & guidance has helped in economic and social development of the country.
