Need to prepare, not to panic from Covid surge: BJP

JAMMU, Apr 15: There is a need to prepare and putting things in order, but absolutely not to panic from resurge of Covid-19 infection in its 2nd wave, said BJP leaders at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. J&K BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mah-otra, J&K BJP Spokes-persons Rajni Sethi & Dr. Tahir Choudhary, BJYM Office Secretary Gourav Pargal and party leaders expressed concern over the recent spike in the Covid cases in Jammu & Kashmir.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra said that with the reported surge in infection by the Corona Virus, the need has arisen to be continuously vigilant over level of information and preparation both mentally and practically but just not to panic. He said that it's been more than a year since the deadly Corona Virus is infecting people in our nation, and even after several efforts to contain the spread of it, the second wave of the virus is currently spreading like wildfire. While we all know the most common symptoms for COVID are dry cough, fever, loss of taste, and smell, but what most people are unaware of, is when to isolate or get tested because COVID-19 has a wide range of symptoms and medical complications, so it is better to exercise restraint in our every daily routine, he added.
Rajni Sethi, requesting people to follow all the Covid norms, he said people have to cooperate by wearing masks, maintaining hand hygiene and physical distancing. There is no other way to contain the virus. The people must cooperate with the agencies and the government to contain the Virus. Dr. Tahir Choudhary said that if a person experiences any COVID symptoms like cough, fever, breathlessness, or loss of sense of taste or smell, stop going to the office or meeting other people with immediate effect and seek medical help. Also, tell others who came in your contact to do the same if it happens to them as well, he added.
